SPORT & SOCIAL COHESION LAB (SSL)

SSCL is a pan-European Erasmus+ funded project using sport in a Living Lab approach to increase social cohesion in diverse, vulnerable neighbourhoods and support practitioners in delivering high quality sport for social cohesion programmes.

Living Labs are user-centred, and based on a co-creation approach that integrates research and innovation processes in real life communities and settings. In short, Living Labs represent an innovative way of bringing beneficiaries and stakeholders together to tackle shared challenges.

NGOs and universities in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland are working together on creating Living Labs. In Ireland SARI are partnering with Munster Technological University.

SARI’s Living Lab is focussed on the North Wall area of the north east inner city of Dublin.
