SOCCERFEST 2023

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO A SHORTFALL IN FUNDING, WE ARE UNABLE TO HOST THE SARI SOCCERFEST THIS YEAR.
WE VERY MUCH HOPE TO BE BACK IN 2024

SOCCERFEST 2022

The 25th anniversary of Soccerfest was held in the Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday 10th September 2022 as part of SARI Sportsfest.

We were delighted to host a Men’s tournament, Women’s Tournament, Under-13 mixed gender tournament and a Walking football blitz with more than 40 teams participating.

The Men’s tournament was won by Ennis All Stars.

The Women’s tournament was won by Jurassic Pride.

The Men’s Plate was won by Chrysalis.

The Under-13 mixed gender tournament was won by Mosney.

SoccerFest has grown into the largest 7-a-side inter-cultural tournament in Ireland attracting crowds of up to 3,000 people from over 60 different nationalities including teams from Direct Provision Centres and refugee communities.

Soccerfest has been SARI’s flagship event for a quarter of a century: it’s a unique opportunity for people of different cultures and backgrounds to come together to compete for the prestigious SARI Soccerfest Cup.

In 1997 SARI launched SoccerFest bringing together people from new migrant communities and indigenous Irish communities. SoccerFest has grown into the largest 7-a-side inter-cultural tournament in Ireland attracting crowds of up to 3,000 people from over 60 different nationalities including teams from Direct Provision Centres and refugee communities.

Soccerfest provides an environment in which people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures can have fun and compete in a respectful way.
