SKILS4CHANGE PARTNERSHIP MEETING IN COPEHAGEN

The SKILLS4CHANGE partnership convened in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 8–9 September 2026 for its third official partner meeting.

The meeting provided an opportunity for partners to come together, share their perspectives and discuss the findings of the project's Training Needs Analysis Survey, which generated more than 450 responses from sporting and non-sporting organisations around the world.

The findings are helping to identify the skills and training needs within the Sport for Development sector. Areas including fundraising, staff development, inclusive coaching and safeguarding were highlighted as important areas for future learning.

Partners are now moving towards the development of a package of bespoke Sport for Development e-learning modules, drawing on the knowledge and experience of the partnership and the needs identified by practitioners.

The Copenhagen meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the next steps, with partners set to continue online discussions before working together in writing teams to develop new content for the project.

As part of the SKILLS4CHANGE partnership, SARI will continue working alongside organisations across Europe and beyond to contribute to the development of new learning opportunities and support the wider Sport for Development sector.
