While the Irish team are in Poland, SARI and the Irish Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) invite you to have your own international soccer experience at home in Dublin. The third annual Fair Play Football Cup takes place on Sunday 17th June from 10:30am till 3pm to mark World Refugee Day.

As Trapattoni and 'El Capitan' lead the Boys in Green against the very top teams in European football, you can watch some great football in an international environment, right here in Dublin's beautiful Law Society Gardens. The Fair Play Football Cup will feature refugee teams from Somalia and Democratic of Congo, SARI's own team of young players (and last year's winners), media teams from Hotpress and The Star, and other teams including NGO workers, and Government officials.

Other entertainment at this free family-friendly event will include football skills training, face painting, hoolahoop and juggling workshops, music and much more for the whole family.

The event also kicks off the do 1 thing campaign. The campaign asks people in Ireland to take one simple action to show support for refugees and asylum seekers in Ireland and internationally who have fled their homes in the hope of finding safety in another country.
