More than three thousand spectators turned out to join in the fun and take on the world at a sun drenched Tesco mobile SARI Soccerfest in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, last weekend. Forty men's teams, eight women's teams and eight Under-13 teams battled it out at the largest intercultural seven-a-side tournament in Europe.

The winners of the Tesco mobile SARI CUP were FC Antrim Polita who beat Insaka 1-0 in a hotly contested final. FC Antrim Polita is a team of mainly Polish immigrants based around Antrim and also in Toomebridge, Magherafelt and Portglenone, and were sponsored by Charter For Northern Ireland (Charter NI). Team captain, Michael Pawelczyk said, "We are proud to be part of Charter For Northern Ireland and we also want to express our thanks to Sport Against Racism Ireland for organizing this great football tournament."

The Tesco Mobile SARI PLATE was won by the Libyan Community who beat One World in the final 2-1. The Women's tournament was won by St. Catherine's who beat St. Joseph's 3-0 and the Under-13 Fair Play Cup was won by Lifford who came all the way from Ennis. They beat New Generation, from Dundalk, in a great game watched by former Republic of Ireland and Arsenal defender John Devine. John now runs the South Dublin Schoolboy League and is always on the look-out for new talent.

Olympic silver medallist John Joe Nevin showed a lot of fancy footwork in the All Stars match organised by Sport Against Racism Ireland which tackles discrimination and promotes dignity and respect for all. Newstalk's Eoin McDevitt also proved that he can put his money where his mouth is. Not only does he talk a good game, he can play. So can Apres Match star Gary Cooke who scored the winning goal.

TESCO mobile managing director, Noel Burrows, said; ‘TESCO mobile is delighted to support the work of Sport Against Racism Ireland. Through this initiative TESCO mobile recognise the importance of combating racism and discrimination.'
