United Through Sport

Sport Against Racism Ireland (SARI) and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland launched the United Through Sport DVD in Belfast Castle on Thursday 26th November.

United Through Sport is a major awareness campaign and education support promoting the powerful potential for positive integration through sport. 

The campaign involves the participation of many leading sportsmen and women from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, alongside young sports enthusiasts.

BBC TV Presenter Jo Scott  and Pete Snodden  DJ were the MC's for  the evening and guest speakers included former Ireland Rugby International Trevor Ringland MBE, Tyrone manager Mickey Harte, Brian Kerr International Manager, Jan Dinsdale  Vice President of  Blind Golf Association Ireland,  and the Director of ‘United Through Sport’ Perry Ogden (Chairman of SARI)

SARI thanked the following for their support, Dublin City Council Department of Integration, Department of Foreign Affairs Communicating Europe Initiative, ECNI, Football For Hope, FAI, IFA, GAA, IRFU, IABA.
