SARI SOCCERFEST 2010

The 14th Annual SARI Soccerfest, the largest intercultural sporting event in Ireland, will take place at the Garda Sports Grounds, Phoenix Park on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September. At the heart of the Soccerfest is a 7-a-side soccer tournament with 40 teams from all over Ireland and players representing more than 50 countries. And on Sunday eight women’s teams will compete for the SARI Respect Cup.

The two day festival also includes a wide array of entertainment for all the family with music, Capoeira, African games, Clowns, Global Village Marquee, GAA Have A Go and lots more.

Building on a match we had last year, with various people from the world of show biz, we are planning an All Stars game this year concentrating on sportsmen and women.

The All Stars game will be held on the Saturday, time yet to be confirmed, and will be approximately 20/30 minutes long on a seven-a-side pitch with SARI director Brian Kerr threatening to referee!

We are supported again this year by CONCERN Worldwide and Communicorp, with 98fm broadcasting live from the festival.
