AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS IRELAND

The first ever Africa Cup of Nations Ireland took place on the Fifteen Acres, Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday 31st July 2010. Eight teams, including the SARI Inter-Cultural team, challenged for the Cup which was won by the Democratic Republic of Congo. Runners up were Angola and the SARI team took third place after winning the play-off against Nigeria.

Following the success of this first ever Africa Cup of Nations Ireland the organisers, supported by SARI, are proposing that this will become an annual event and will extend applications to more teams next year.
