FARE FOOTBALL PEOPLE ACTION WEEKS

There is only one week to go till the FARE Football People Action Weeks kick-off. SARI will be launching FARE Action Weeks in Ireland on Thursday 9th October with an inter-faith mini-tournament at King's Inns School/Mount Carmel, Dublin titled 'Believe in Football' which will be featuring Diverse City FC from the SARI 'Hijabs and Hat-tricks' programme. Kick-off will be at 6pm. If you would like to get involved with FARE Weeks please contact us at info@sari.ie

The FARE Football People Action Weeks unites supporters, clubs, ethnic minorities and communities affected by discrimination by celebrating the contribution everyone makes to the game of football. Founded in 2001 the Fare Action Week campaign began in only 9 countries but has fast become the largest series of anti-discrimination activities in world sport. In 2013 over 1,500 activities took place in 46 countries including 18 professional leagues with 17 European FA's supporting the initiative.

A key objective of both FARE and SARI is to promote social inclusion and cultural integration through our events, bringing together diverse communities through sport. Last year's activities ranged from sports tournaments, open forums on racism, round table discussions, workshops in schools and many other innovative projects.
