CFAI ATTEMPT TO BREAK THE GUINNESS WORLD RECORD FOR PENALTY KICKS

SARI are partnering with the Colleges Football Association of Ireland, the FAI, ITT Dublin and Senior College Dun Laoghaire in an attempt to break the world record for consecutive penalties which was set by the Major League Soccer in New York last June. The challenge being set is to smash the record of 742 and aim for a minimum of 1,000 penalty kicks, as part of a full day charity event. John Delaney, Chief Executive of the FAI, has called the event a "great opportunity to celebrate football". The event will take place in Tallaght Stadium on Wednesday 29th February.

The two charity's chosen for the event are The National Children's Hospital Tallaght and Sport Against Racism Ireland (SARI).
