ALLEGED RACISM IN LIMERICK

According to Gael Clichy, a banana was thrown at him during a Manchester City game against Limerick at Thomond Park yesterday. As Thomond is a modern stadium, we are asking for cctv to be passed over to Garda, and the culprit identified by putting their image on media. Prosecution has to follow and - if found guilty - a life ban from all sports grounds has to be levied.

Also, we are asking why the trained stewards did not act and why the incident was not recorded by the referee/line staff to allow the FAI to deal with the case?
We are shocked that this incident has happened in a city that has been making great strides in cultural integration through sport via the SARI network member Doras Luimni and Limerick's new Mayor, Gerry Mc Loughlin, the former Irish International Rugby Player.
