As part of Africa Week 2013, Sport Against Racism Ireland (SARI) and the Dublin Multicultural Centre in partnership with Africa Centre, the Integrated Academy for Athletic Performance of the Offaly Sports Partnership, Fingal County Council, Clonliffe Harriers Athletics Club with the support of Athletics Ireland, the Kip Keino Foundation, the Mo Farah Foundation, Metro Eirean will stage a unique Africa Week Athletics 2013 featuring Fingal County Council’s Fingal Athletics League and the Kip Keino Invitational Meet. The long term goal of this programme is to help address the imbalance in participation in the sport of athletics by people of an immigrant background (and in particular people of an African background) but it is Open to All and one does not need to be of African background to participate. REGISTRATION IS FREE.

A range of athletic events for juveniles from U-8 to U-16 as well as junior, senior and masters' events will be held. Guidelines and details of entry are set out below.

- The programme and timetable for competitions is as set out below
- Entry to all events is free!
- Medals will be presented to the first 3 finishers.
- Limitations shall apply on the number of entries that can be taken in any one event
as follows
- Juvenile Sprints, i.e. U-8 to U-16 (maximum 16 entries per event)
- Junior, Senior and Masters Sprints, i.e. 100m - 400m (maximum 8 entries per event)
- All Middle Distance Races (maximum 12 entries per event). Note: the U-10 400m
shall be treated as a middle distance race whereas the senior 400m is a sprint
- Jumps (maximum 12 entries per event)
- Mixed relay (maximum 8 mixed teams of two men and two women)
- Entries shall be taken on a first come basis.
- In all juvenile sprint events, two heats shall be held with the first 4 competitors
in each qualifying for the final
- Middle distance races, junior, senior and masters sprints and the mixed relay races
shall be straight finals
- In long jump events, all competitors shall be afforded three attempts, and the
leading eight jumpers after the third round shall be afforded a further three jumps
